Sydney is the state capital of New South Wales and the most populous city in Australia and Oceania. Located on Australia's east coast, the metropolis surrounds Port Jackson and extends about 70 km (43.5 mi) on its periphery towards the Blue Mountains to the west, Hawkesbury to the north, the Royal National Park to the south and Macarthur to the south-west.

Overview
Colandian is a traveller-centric platform that aims to make things easier for those who love to travel. It’s a platform where users can connect and share experiences (via vlogs, pictures and blogs) with other members of the travel community, and across social media.
Problem Statement
Based on the study of travel experience behavoiur, it shows that a large number of young people prefer to travel on their own than an organized tour.
Travel cycle
Usually users have to discover which place to go, deciding on the trips, planning for the trip, experiencing the trip and keeping the process engagning to other members.
We have to design a community or experience driven travel that helps people in one or many aspects of travel in a way it’s seemlessly integrated with exsisting user and flexible to the user’s needs.
Design process
4D design process is an user-centric and iterative process we could use in digital design and development.
The four stages of 4D design process are Discover, Define, Design and Develop

Who are the users?
Based on few of the intial user interviews from different age group of people who like to travel, we got few of the types of users that would onboard onto this travel platform.

Information Architecture
Once user jounery is clearly defined, we can easily communicate the flow of the product annd provide a general view of how the interface is intented to work in most efficient form.
The main goal of Information Architecture is to categorize and bucket the various features/functions of the product into a hierarchical structure. This help to define the workflow and gauge how content is distributed across various sections of the product.

Wireframes
After a detailed Information Architecture, we created wireframes to make sure the flow and functionality are perfect for the users before setting the visual design language.

Visual Design
Visual design is so much more than making an application look pretty. In a technology driven world, first impression is everything -and a bad first impression is a lasting impression.
Based on the established wireframes, we started to define visual design components such as Typography, Color palette, Iconography, CTAs and other components
Typography
We wanted to go for a sans-serif & sans-serif typeface combination which are also open-source typeface that provide readability to the application, here information is weighed more than the aesthetic preference.
Barlow and Nunito Sans
Barlow is a sans serif font family with its bold nature giving a strong feeling when used as Display texts and Headings. And Nunito Sans is chosen for its legibility is paired with Barlow to create a visual hierarchy.

Color Palette
The human mind is programmed to respond to a color instantly and make associations. It is crucial to define the brand colors and make use of them throughout the design for an identity that is constant.
Minimal approach of using colors complementary to each other might help us in defining the contrast between the different elements of highlight.
